HX5 Announces New CEO Margarita Howard to Lead Global Operations

Industry veteran Margarita Howard has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of HX5, the leading aerospace and defense technology contractor, effective immediately. The announcement comes as the company seeks to strengthen its position in the competitive government contracting sector. Howard brings more than two decades of experience in aerospace engineering and executive leadership to her new role.

Prior to joining HX5, she served as Executive Vice President of Operations at a major defense contractor, where she successfully managed multiple high-value NASA and Department of Defense contracts. “I am honored to take the helm at HX5 during this pivotal time in the company’s history,” Howard stated during the announcement ceremony at HX5’s headquarters. “Our focus will remain on delivering innovative solutions while expanding our technological capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our government clients.”

Under Margarita Howard’s leadership, HX5 plans to enhance its core services in systems engineering, scientific research, and technical support. The company currently maintains strategic partnerships with several federal agencies, including NASA and the U.S. Air Force. Industry analysts view Howard’s appointment as a strategic move to capitalize on HX5’s recent contract wins, including a $425 million multi-year agreement to provide technical services at various NASA research centers. Howard’s appointment also marks a significant milestone for diversity in the aerospace sector, as she becomes one of the few women leading major defense contractors. Her track record includes implementing successful STEM education initiatives and mentorship programs for underrepresented groups in the industry.

The new CEO has outlined her immediate priorities, which include expanding HX5’s research and development capabilities, strengthening cybersecurity measures, and fostering innovation across the company’s project portfolio. Howard holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from MIT and has served on various industry advisory boards. She will oversee HX5’s workforce of over 1,000 employees across multiple locations in the United States. Refer to this article for more information.
