Acquiring of Baho Foods

On August 2016, OSI Group was able to add Baho Food to their OSI Europe. Baho Food is a Dutch manufacturer of available foods, snacks and deli meats serving foods in the retail segment. According to CSI Group president and chief operating officer David G. McDonald, Baho’s portfolio complement with the current OSI processing strength. Acquiring the company will help the OSI Group broaden their capabilities in offering best services to their evolving client needs.

The possession of Baho Foods will also give OSI Group an opportunity to control their five subsidiary companies in Europe and processing plants in Germany and Netherlands. However, the acquisition did not affect Baho’s team, as they remained part of the business working with OSI Group team to come up with new growth strategies for the combined companies.

Commenting on the issue, Baho’s Food managing director John Balvers complimented OSI Group for its outstanding relationship with customers and suppliers. He noted that being part of the larger OSI Group, Baho Food is well positioned to leverage the capabilities and experience of the group.

Flagship Europe

By the close of 2016, OSI Group acquired Flagship Europe, a food company dealing with the supply of food services across the UK. The company mostly provides frozen chicken, Oliver James pies, and sous vide equipment. They also supply mayonnaise, sauces, and dressings.

According to Russell Maddock, Flagship Europe chief executive, the acquisition is an exciting development for the company. Flagship Europe will now have the chance to access new clients through the increased resources availed by the acquisition.

As part of OSI Group, Flagship Europe will also be in a position to reach a global market, which will help strengthen their place in the market. This new development also comes as an opportunity for the latter to improve their proposition and open new markets as well as offer improved services to their existing customers.
